European Culture

One thing I noticed was that in Europe and especially Amsterdam that a lot of people rode bikes. I also noticed that in America my dodgeball buddies would get ID'd for alcohol at every restaurant we go to but in Europe I haven't been ID'd once yet. Maybe this means that people are a little more trusting here. Another thing I've noticed is that people in America wear clothing that says hollander, Paris, etc and in Europe they wear shirts that say New York or L.A. One cultural thing I noticed in Amsterdam was that the roads and sidewalks looked exactly the same. Sometimes I would be in the middle of the road or bikepath and not even realize it. One final thing I noticed about Amsterdam was that everywhere I went everyone assumed I don't speak Dutch and talked in English whereas in the U.S. people just expect foreigners to know English.

I have yet to be ID'd at a bar or restaurant as well. It's more likely that we all look above 18.
